CONFLICT RESOLUTION & DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

March 8th, 2022

It’s March, and we are finding employers get into situations at work they don't know how to address. Not addressing them though, is a hinderance to both the organization and the employee. Join us this month as we talk about conflict resolution and difficult conversations.

Raquel Garcia is the Executive Director of CityServe TulareKings, a non-profit organization that trains, equips and mobilizes the local church to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its community through compassion. She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership & Organizational studies with an emphasis in Peacemaking & Conflict Resolution and an undergraduate degree in Management & Organizational Development, from Fresno Pacific University. Raquel is a leadership coach & consultant, and brings with her a vast set of work experiences from both the business and non-profit sectors. She is a professor with the School of Business at Fresno Pacific and enjoys teaching adult learners in courses such as Leadership & Change, Ethics & Values, Organizational Behavior and Business Policy & Strategy. Raquel is in her 6th year as the Leadership Visalia Program Facilitator, guiding participants through a 10-month academy that promotes professional growth, community involvement and a large group project. Her compassion work is centered around helping victims of domestic violence. She is the Board President at Family Services of Tulare County, and is dedicated to supporting the advocacy work being done to help keep local families safe. She is a doctoral candidate at Northcentral University, where she is pursuing her PhD in Organizational Leadership. In her spare time, Raquel enjoys gardening, cooking and entertaining. She is married to Andy, her husband of 24 years; they have 2 children Sophia (13) & Andres (12).
