Dear Members-                                                                                                                                                              March 12, 2020

Given the recent public health events and recommendations by public officials at the federal, state and local levels, I’d like to give another important update on the coronavirus(COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2).

As most of you are probably aware the coronavirus was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020.  This is affecting almost every business sector.

That means that the virus is moving rapidly throughout the world and is not being wholly contained. The odds of contracting this disease are still dramatically low and the precautions we are taking are more-so for the benefit of those who are at risk for serious complications.

To prevent its spread, many organizations announced postponements and cancellation of events with large numbers of attendees or international guests. You should expect many more of these cancellations/postponements to occur for things like large events/concerts/festivals, business conferences, movie releases, sporting events, etc. As per the President of the United States, travel to-and-from Europe has been suspended for the next 30 days and incoming travelers to the United States may be subject to quarantine and screening procedures.

Businesses: We strongly encourage employees to frequently wash their hands at this time, and especially after meeting with a customer/client. All surface areas should be cleaned regularly with disinfectant.

At home: We recommend frequent hand-washing even at home during this time, especially after going to public places like parks or grocery stores. If you become sick, stay home and do not go into work.
