Wellness: A Closer Look at Cancer and its Impact in the Workplace.

October 13th, 2020

Join us as Joan Daniels takes a closer look at wellness in the workplace, when tragedy from illness strikes. We all know someone who has been impacted by Cancer. Whether it be a friend, or a family member, Cancer of all types has impacted mostly every individual in some way. What does an employer do when their employee is faced with a diagnosis? How can they best accommodate them? What does their upcoming days, months, and years look like. Join us as Joan discusses real life experiences, and explains how our organizations can assist employees during those trying times. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

Joan F. Daniels, MA Ed, MSN, FNP-C is the Student Health Center Director at College of Sequoias. Joan served as a Credentialed School Nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She has been a teacher in both the private and public sectors in K-12 and college level education for more than 15 years. In addition, Joan has worked in Honduras, Central America as a teacher and medical missionary. Joan is a 4-year breast cancer survivor, mother, triathlete and life-long adventurer.
