Connie graduated from the College of the Sequoias in 1988 with an Associates Degree in Liberal Studies, and from Fresno Pacific University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management of Organizational Development.

Connie has been in the insurance industry since 1991. Her initial position was working in the capacity of the Underwriting Analyst for a large insurance company. Connie began her career with Buckman-Mitchell, Inc. in November 1994 where she worked as Assistant to the President, in the capacity of Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative. In May of 1997, Connie was promoted to the position of Human Resources Manager.

Connie has been a member of the Tulare/Kings Society of Human Resources Managers since 1998 and joined the National Society of Human Resources Managers in 2001. Connie was elected to serve on the 2005 and 2006 Executive Board of the Tulare/Kings Society of Human Resources Managers and has served in the capacity of Secretary.

Connie is active in community organizations and has served as an Executive Board Member for Downtown Visalians, Inc. during the term 2000 through 2003. The purpose of this corporation is to promote a more economically sound, more aesthetically pleasing and more functionally efficient downtown Visalia. In addition, Connie has been a Board member of the PBID – Property and Business Improvement District for Downtown Visalia during the term of 2000 through 2003.

Connie has also served for three years as a Community Representative for Tulare County for Congressman Radanovich. She enjoys active participation in the community and is very involved in fund raising for the March of Dimes, serving as Chair and Co-Chair for Buckman Mitchell, Inc.'s fundraising efforts during the years of 2001 through 2005. She was recognized as the Top individual fund raiser for the City of Visalia in 2001. In 2005 Connie spearheaded a fund raising effort for the Red Cross Katrina Fund, doing raffles and having a large garage sale to raise funds for the disaster relief.

Connie thoroughly enjoys working with youth and has been an active part of the Future Business Leaders of America - Central Section Leadership Conference for many years. She has served in the capacity of Job Interview Finalist Panel Judge as well as an application screener.

Connie has been married to her husband, Mike, for 28 years. They have two daughters, Gail and Sandy, age 26 & 21. In Connie's leisure time she enjoys cooking and entering candy in the Tulare County Fair. Connie won first place in both Fudge and Peanut Brittle at the Tulare County Fair held in September 2004.
